Brant-Brantford Crime Stoppers and the Brantford City Police are looking for the person or persons responsible for this Robbery.
On Friday, May 15, 2009, at approximately 9:47 p.m., an unknown male entered the Waterloo Variety Store, located at 31 Pearl St., in the City of Brantford. The suspect entered the store and proceeded to purchase an instant bingo ticket. The suspect then paid for the ticket and then walked to the end of the counter.
The male then walked behind the counter and confronted the store clerk and demanded that she open the register and to give him the money. Before the register could be opened, the suspect began to viciously attack the clerk with a rock and began to beat her with it, striking her in the head and face area.
The store clerk then screamed and alerted other employees of the store, which scared the suspect, who then fled the store.
The suspect can be described as a white male, approximately 25 years of age, 5`7, 140 lbs, short blonde hair, wearing a khaki hoodie and beige shorts. The suspect was last observed heading north bound on Pearl Street, riding a bicycle.
